Biological target: Cyanidin Chloride (IdB 1027), a subclass of anthocyanin, displays antioxidant and anti-carcinogenesis properties.
In vitro activity: The effect of C3G (cyanidin-3-glucoside) on the viability of H1299, A549, and BEAS-2B cells was assessed by using the CCK-8 assay. As seen in Fig. 1A and B, cell viability was markedly reduced in C3G 10-, 20-, 40-, and 80-μM groups in both H1299 and A549 cells and in a dose-dependent manner (P < 0.05, P < 0.01).
