More Info: Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (Nampt) converts nicotinamide into nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), which is subsequently converted to NAD+ by NMN adenyltransferase. Cancer cells commonly have an unusually high rate of NAD+ turnover, suggesting that inhibition of Nampt might selectively target cancer cells.
