Description: OGDA is a green fluorescent D-amino acid. Suitable for labeling peptidoglycans in live bacteria. OGDA is efficiently incorporated into the peptidoglycans of gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria. Compatible with STED microscopy, OGDA labelled bacteria can be imaged by super-resolution stimulated emission depletion (STED) at a resolution below 100 nm. Photo-stable. Excitation/emission λ ~501/526 nm.
