Description: Carboprost methyl is a synthetic prostaglandin analogue of PGF2α with oxytocic properties. Its main use is in the obstetrical emergency of postpartum hemorrhage which reduces postpartum bleeding during these circumstances. It is also a potent uterine stimulant and abortifacient.
