Description: Amiodarone hydrochloride is an antianginal and antiarrhythmic drug. It increases the duration of ventricular and atrial muscle action by inhibiting Na,K-activated myocardial adenosine triphosphatase. The result is a decrease in heart rate and vascular resistance.
