Description: VUN 50841, also known as Propargyl-PEG1-t-butyl ester is a PEG derivative containing a propargyl group and a t-butyl protected carboxyl group. The propargyl group can be reacted with azide-bearing compounds or biomolecules via copper catalyzed azide-alkyne Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage. The t-butyl protected carboxyl group can be deprotected under acidic conditions. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. This product has not formal name. For the convenience of scientific communication, we named it by combining its Inchi key (3 letters from the first letter of each section) with the last 5 digits of its CAS number or its molecule weight if its CAS number is not available (see MedKoo Chemical Nomenclature, https://www.medkoo.com/page/naming).
