Description: 3-Methyladenine, aslo known as NSC 66389, is an Autophagy inhibitor. 3-methyladenine enhances the sensitivity of nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. 3-Methyladenine can depress drug efflux transporters via blocking the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway thus sensitizing MDR cancer to chemotherapy. 3-methyladenine potentiates apoptosis induced by dietary tocotrienols in breast cancer cells.
